Angels' Palce Mission Statment

A comforting word, a friendly deed
Will bring you blessings untold.
When you but give with a loving heart,
You'll always receive ten-fold. When you help a needy friend
Along Life's rocky way,
The peace that's deep within your heart
You'll find is there to stay. You'll find that peace eternal
Is a smile—a touch of cheer,
A simple prayer—a fond hello
Just knowing a friend is near.

A little about myself

Hello to you! You are most likely reading this because you are interested in what this is about. Well, thank you for your time, I do appreciate! Before I get into more details about the establishment of The Angels' Palace, I will like to share a little bit about my self.

I am Salisha Allard-Blaisdell :}

After my first day of interview in search of  my Junior VP for BYU-H Service Dept (2010)
I was born to Leonora Catherine Allard and Arthur Anthony Thomas in a small Caribbean island, Grenada. At present, I am twenty-two years old, but was only nine years old when cancer stole my mother from my seven siblings and I . I am the sixth child of my deceased mother and is still the only one of her children to have her beautiful deep dimples.

Inherited two deep dimples and spaced-teeth from my deceased Mother. Although spaced-teeth is very common among the Allard family, dimples like mine are not. One person in each generation has the exact pair, other members tend to have a single one or a smaller pair located on a different area of the cheek.

After my mother's death, two of my siblings and I were placed in an orphanage. My younger brother and I were placed in the same one, but one of my older sisters was in another. The orphanage my little brother and I were placed in was like a factory! In other words, the workers were mechanical, they showed no love  and affection; they went about doing what they thought their jobs were. They busily went about their lives as if we the children were objects rather than vulnerable beings in need of extra love,  care and attention. We did not have enough food to eat, because the number of mouths by far out weighed the quantity of food that could  be provided. Not only were we hungry, we were  also 'mother-less'. We had No mother to be the judge when there was a fight among us, no mother to clean our dirty nappies before flies and rashes get the best of us, no mother to say "I love you and you are my [or a] prince or princess!"....

In the year 2004, Hurricane Ivan destroyed our house, along with 95% of the country's agricultural production. The most painful mark the hurricane left was its after-math which sucked the life out of my seventy-four year old Father. At age fifteen I became an orphan, and had no relatives who cared enough or were capable of taking care of me.

It was around that same time,  it became one of my ultimate goals to open an orphanage in Grenada.I believe with all my heart that it is my destiny. I know that I do not want any more children to grow up the way I did, and even though I know I will not be able to help all, I know I can help some - and that's exactly what I am going to do!

I will continue sharing more about myself as we proceed, but let me tell you more about The Angels' Palace.

  1. This story is one that makes an individual's heart melt. Often times persons see someone making strides in life, have no idea of what they have been through but yet it is either they grudge you or they say all manner of things against you.

I pray with all sincerity that Angels' Palace becomes a reality and that persons in higher authority may give you the support you need Salisha Allard-Blaisdell!!!
